SANTA CLARITA, CA – A 7-year-old girl was killed on Saturday morning after falling off the back of her mother’s SUV on the 5 Freeway.
The accident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-5 near Weldon Canyon Road around 3 a.m. According to ABC 7, the girl was riding in the truck of her mother’s 1999 Lincoln Navigator when she fell out of the broken rear window.
After falling out, the girl was struck by multiple vehicles and died at the scene.
The mother, a 28-year-old woman, and her boyfriend were both arrested.
