70-year-old pedestrian killed in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA – A 70-year-old man is dead after being struck by a car while crossing the street on Monday night, local news reports. 

The victim was attempting to cross the 2500 block of Torrey Pines Road when he was struck by a 2012 Toyota Camry driven by a 40-year-old woman around 6 p.m.

He was rushed to the hospital but later pronounced dead.

Police do not suspect alcohol was a factor.
