Driver dead after fiery car vs. tree crash in West Sacramento

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA – A driver died after their vehicle collided with a tree and then caught fire in West Sacramento on Friday, according to KCRA.

The crash happened in the 1000 block of Riverside Parkway, near I-80, after a driver collided with a tree. The vehicle then burst into flames while the driver was still inside

Authorities were unable to rescue the victim, the lone occupant of the vehicle, before they died. Their identity is pending family notification.

No other people were injured in the crash.
