Passenger in Uber killed in hit-and-run crash at Lincoln Way and 46th Ave

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – A man riding in an Uber was killed in a hit-and-run crash involving a reportedly stolen vehicle in the Outer Sunset District this weekend.

According to ABC 7, the crash happened near the intersection of Lincoln Way and 46th Ave at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, when a Honda SUV Uber and an Audi SUV collided.

The driver of the Audi then fled the scene on foot.

38-year-old Barry McGrath, a passenger in the Uber, died as a result of the crash.

The Audi had been reported stolen last month.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
