Pedestrian hit, killed by unlicensed driver in Pasadena

PASADENA, CA – A pedestrian was killed in Pasadena on Thursday evening after being hit by a driver who did not have a license, KTLA reports. 

The accident occurred near the intersection or Orange Grove Boulevard and Walnut Street shortly before 7 p.m.

The victim was attempting to cross the street outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by the vehicle. He was rushed to the hospital but later died of his injuries. His identity has not been released.

The driver, a 46-year-old man, was taken into custody for driving without a license. Police do not believe that drugs or alcohol were involved.
