Pedestrian dies after being hit by vehicle in San Jose

SAN JOSE, CA – A woman passed away after being struck by a vehicle in San Jose on Saturday, according to local news reports. 

The victim was attempting to cross McLaughlin Avenue when she was struck by a southbound Nissan Rogue SUV near Idlewood Drive around 6:40 p.m.

The woman was rushed to the hospital and was initially believed to be in stable condition but later died on Sunday.

The driver remained at the scene and is not suspected to have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
