SELMA, CA – Three people were injured in Fresno County on Monday after they stopped to assist another driver who had crashed, ABC 30 reports.
The incident occurred on Manning Avenue, which had been made slippery by rain and hail. A pickup truck left the road and crashed into an almond orchard after being hit by another vehicle. That vehicle fled the scene.
Four people riding in a BMW then stopped to help. A short time later, a white Jeep lost control and struck the BMW. Three people were injured and hospitalized, although none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.
Police are searching for the vehicle that first hit the pickup truck.
