LOS ANGELES, CA – A woman was killed in West Compton after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday night, KTLA reports.
The victim was attempting to cross the street near the intersection of Avalon Boulevard and Rosecrans Avenue around 11:40 p.m.
The driver sped away, leaving the 64-year-old victim injured in the street. She died at the scene.
