Pedestrian killed on Taft Highway in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, CA – A pedestrian was killed in southwest Bakersfield on Friday night after being struck by a vehicle on Taft Highway.

According to Bakersfield Now, the woman was struck on the 2300 block of Taft Highway around 11 p.m.

She sustained serious injuries and died at the scene. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to have been a factor in the crash.
