Motorcyclist killed on Taft Highway

BAKERSFIELD, CA – A motorcyclist was killed on Monday night after they were struck by a vehicle on Taft Highway, KGET reports. 

The crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of Taft Highway and Heather Meadows Drive. The victim was riding east when a vehicle attempted an illegal U-turn directly in front of it.

The motorcyclist sustained major injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where they later passed away.
