Accident in Saugus leaves man in critical condition

SAUGUS, CA – A man is in critical condition following an accident in Saugus on Tuesday morning, local news reports. 

The accident occurred around 9:15 a.m. at the intersection of Bouquet Canyon Road and Soledad Canyon Road. 

A 69-year-old man in an SUV was attempting to get gas at the Chevron Station when his vehicle began to roll backwards. After jumping back into the car, the man tried to brake but insead accelerated into oncoming traffic. 

He was ejected from his vehicle in the collision and hospitalized in critical condition. 

No other injuries have been reported.
