Taft accident leaves six injured

TAFT, CA – An accident in Taft left six people injured on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Taft Midway Driller. 

The accident occurred around 2:40 p.m. on the 400 block of Hillard Street. A Honda Pilot was driving south when it crossed the center line and struck a pickup truck parked in the northbound lane.

Six people in the Honda were injured and taken to a local hospital. None of the injuries are considered serious. Five adults and a 16-year-old boy were in the vehicle.

It is not clear what caused the crash. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
