Bakersfield pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on Union Avenue

BAKERSFIELD, CA – A woman was killed in Bakersfield on Saturday night after being struck by a hit-and-run driver, KGET reports. 

The victim was in the road near the intersection of Union Avenue and East 5th Street around 9:45 p.m. The victim sustained serious injuries and died at the scene.

The driver was in a dark-colored sedan and fled the scene. Police are still investigating the crash.
