PALM DESERT, CA – A cyclist, a 33-year-old man, succumbed to fatal injuries when he was struck by a Riverside County Sheriff’s cruiser at the Country Club Drive and Eldorado Drive junction. This wreck happened around 3:40 a.m. The cyclist — Christopher Thomas — was pronounced dead at the scene.
