Narrative
LAKESIDE, CA – A 2-year-old boy was injured, and a 63-year-old man was killed in a solo motorcycle crash on eastbound Serena Road around 7:30 p.m. Monday. California Highway Patrol said the motorcycle operator lost control of his vehicle as he approached a curve. They did not wear helmets and protective gear and were both ejected from the bike. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the child was transported to Rady Children’s Hospital with minor injuries. It is unclear if impairment was a factor in this wreck. Officials are investigating additional details.
