BAKERSFIELD, CA – A motorcyclist was killed on Friday night after being struck by a hit-and-run driver, KGET reports.  The crash occurred at the intersection of Rosedale Highway and Gibson Street. It is not clear when the accident occurred but the victim was reported in the middle of the road shortly after midnight. The victim died at the scene. TAFT, CA – An accident in Taft left six people injured on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Taft Midway Driller.  The accident occurred around 2:40 p.m. on the 400 block of Hillard Street. A Honda Pilot was driving south when it crossed the center line and struck a pickup truck parked in the northbound lane. Six people in the Honda were injured and taken to a local hospital. BAKERSFIELD, CA – A woman was killed in Bakersfield on Tuesday morning after she was struck by a vehicle near downtown, KGET reports.  The accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on the 1600 block of Truxtun Avenue. The victim was walking in the crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she later passed away. BAKERSFIELD, CA – A driver was hospitalized on Wednesday morning after an accident split their vehicle in half, KRON 4 reports.  The accident occurred around 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday near the intersection of Manor Street and Union Avenue. The driver, who has not been identifed at this time, was driving a dark-colored Honda Accord when they lost control and struck a pillar. OILDALE, CA – A crash in Oildale left a man dead on Tuesday morning, according to KGET.  The crash occurred at the intersection of West China Grade Loop and McCray Street around 9:40 a.m.  The victim, a 43-year-old man, was driving westbound in a Chevrolet Silverado when he collided with a woman in a Volvo XC90.  The Silverado then left the road and crashed into a light pole, ejecting the driver. LOST HILLS, CA – A head-on collision on southbound I-5 left two dead on Monday morning, KGET reports.  The accident occurred near Twisselman Road around 3:30 a.m.  A Freightliner truck was traveling northbound when its driver, a 44-year-old from Montclair, lost control and entered the southbound lanes.  The Freightliner then struck a Kenworth truck driven by a 55-year-old Healdsburg resident.  Both drivers died at the scene.  It is not clear what caused the Freightliner to enter oncoming traffic. BAKERSFIELD, CA – Three people suffered serious injures in an accident in northwest Bakersfield on Thursday afternoon, KGET reports.  The crash occurred at the intersection of Brimhall Road and Nord Avenue around 2:20 p.m. The cause of the accident is not clear at this time. Pictures from the scene show a white sedan and a dark pickup truck, both of which flipped over onto thier roofs. Two people became trapped in their vehicles and sustained life-threatening injuries.
