Man killed in Perris after being hit by pickup truck

PERRIS, CA – A man was killed Wednesday evening in Perris after being struck by a truck on Highway 74, local news reports. The accident occurred in the northbound lanes around 6:40 p.m. The victim was attempting to walk south in the northbound lanes of the highway. The truck driver did see the man and attempted to brake but was unable to avoid a collision. The 35-year-old pedestrian was killed at the scene. Police are continuing to investigate the incident. Crash Involving Pedestrian Reported In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, AL – Emergency responders were called to a wreck with one pedestrian hurt this afternoon, WBRC 6 reports. The accident happened today at the intersection of 64th street and E J Oliver Boulevard. A pedestrian was struck by the vehicle, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. It’s unclear if the pedestrian is in stable condition. The circumstances of the accident are currently unknown. We will be monitoring this story as the JCSO investigates.
