Contra Costa County collision leaves three dead

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA – Three people were killed and two were injured after an Amtrack train struck a sedan in Contra Costa County.

According to NBC News, the victims werre travelling in a grey sedan near Brentwood when they were struck by the train around 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Three people in the car were killed. Another vehicle was airlifted to a nearby hospital and a child was taken in an ambulance. Further updates on their condition are not currently available.

None of the 89 people on the train were injured.
