Driver killed after being ejected in Bakersfield crash

BAKERSFIELD, CA – A driver died in Bakersfield after being ejected from their vehicle on Sunday night, Bakersfield Now reports. 

The crash occurred on eastbound Highway 178 near Alta Vista Drive around 11 p.m. The victim was driving a grey Dodge Challenger at a high speed when they turned to the right and crashed into a concrete bridge.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

Police are investigating to determine if drugs or alcohol were involved.
