TROY, CA – One person was killed and another is in critical condition after a collision on Highway 20 on Saturday, according to the Sierra Sun.
The accident occurred near Chalk Bluff Road around 6:30 p.m. A 34-year-old man was driving east in a 2002 Acura TL. As he approached a curve, investigators believe that his speed caused him to lose control and enter the westbound lane.
He then struck a Ford F-250 that was pulling a livestock trailer. A 36-year-old woman riding in the Acura was killed in the crash. The Acura’s driver sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition.
Two occupants of the Ford also were injured and taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center.
