Hit-and-run leaves pedestrian dead in East Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, CA – A woman was killed in an East Bakersfield hit-and-run on Friday night, ABC 23 reports. 

The victim was attempting to cross the street in the intersection of Niles Street and Fairfax Road when she was struck by a semi-truck attempting to turn on to Fairfax.

The driver did not stop and continued south on Fairfax. The woman died at the scene.
