Narrative
KERN CO., CA – A multi-vehicle collision in central Kern County killed one person and injured two others Saturday evening.
The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on CA-65, or the All-American City Highway, just south of Famoso Road. This is east of Famoso and north of Bakersfield.
Police haven’t specified the cause of the crash, the number of vehicles involved, or the manner in which the cars impacted. They say that one of the vehicles caught fire.
One person died at the scene. Authorities have not yet disclosed their identity to the public.
Medics transported two people to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Officials closed both sides of the highway in the area of the collision while crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
