Narrative
BAKERSFIELD, CA – Bakersfield Police are investigating an accident that seriously injured a pedestrian on Thursday night.
The crash occurred just before 10 p.m. on South Brown Street near the intersection with Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. This is north of CA-58 and west of Calcot Warehouse.
It’s not clear if the pedestrian was walking in a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
Medics transported to the victim to the hospital with critical injuries.
The driver involved in the crash stopped to render aid and speak to authorities.
