Lamont crash leaves one dead, another injured

LAMONT, CA – A 17-year-old boy was killed and another person was injured in a collision in Lamont Tuesday night, KGET reports. 

The victims were travelling east in a  2014 Acura on Hall Road around 9 p.m. when the driver lost control and crashed into a wall. The driver died at the scene.

A 17-year-old male passenger, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained major injuries and was taken to Kern Medical.

Police do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. It is not clear why the vehicle left the road.
