CAMPTONVILLE, CA (YUBA COUNTY) – A man died after his pickup truck collided with two trees on Highway 49 in Yuba County on Tuesday afternoon, according to information from The Union.
The collision happened near Camptonville on Hwy 49 near Marysville Road at about 4:35 p.m., when the driver of a Toyota Tacoma, a 27-year-old man from Gilroy, went off the side of the roadway. His vehicle then collided with two trees, which caused “significant intrusion into the cab of the pickup,” according to a report from the California Highway Patrol.
The driver, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other victims or vehicles were reportedly involved in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate at this time.
