BIRMINGHAM, AL – A woman was struck and killed by several vehicles after she was involved in a previous wreck over the weekend, AL.com reports.

A woman was traveling north on I-59 when her Hyundai Sonata collided with several other vehicles. She managed to exit the vehicle after it rolled over but was later struck by two oncoming vehicles as she tried to warn other drivers.

The wreck took place at around 2:51 a.m. Friday, near the highway’s exit towards Arkadelphia Road. The woman, a 25-year-old from Birmingham, died at the site of the accident at 3:02 a.m., according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

The crash is currently being investigated by Birmingham police.
