Narrative
GRASS VALLEY, CA – A woman died, and a man was hospitalized Saturday when a DoorDash delivery vehicle crashed in western Nevada County.
The incident happened around 2:45 a.m. in the area of AZ-20 and South Ponderosa Way, which is west of the Nevada County Fairgrounds.
Police say that the driver of a DoorDash vehicle fell asleep, left the roadway, and collided with several trees.
The passenger from the vehicle, identified thus far as a 35-year-old woman, died at the scene of the accident.
Medics transported the 35-year-old male driver to the hospital with critical injuries.
