One injured after Bakersfield crash splits car in half

BAKERSFIELD, CA – A driver was hospitalized on Wednesday morning after an accident split their vehicle in half, KRON 4 reports. 

The accident occurred around 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday near the intersection of Manor Street and Union Avenue.

The driver, who has not been identifed at this time, was driving a dark-colored Honda Accord when they lost control and struck a pillar.

Thier car was split in half and the driver sustained minor injuries. They were taken to a nearby hospital by a Good Samaritan.

At this time it is not clear what caused the crash.
