Pedestrian hit, killed in south San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in south San Francisco on Thursday morning, the Mercury News reports. 

The accident occurred in the intersection of East Grand Avenue and Forbes Boulevard around 6:25 a.m. The victim was attempting to cross the street walking north when he was hit by a westbound vehicle.

The driver immediately stopped to assist the victim, who was rushed to the hospital before succumbing to his injuries.

Police do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the deadly collision.
