Pedestrian killed crossing the street in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA – A man was killed in San Diego on Tuesday evening after being struck by a car as he crossed the street, KUSI reports. 

The 42-year-old victim was attempting to cross in the 2100 block of Coronado Avenue when he was hit by a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta around 6 p.m.

He suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The driver of the Jetta, a 29-year-old man, remained at the scene and is not suspected of impairment.
