Narrative
FORESTHILL, CA – A single-vehicle accident in the town of Foresthill killed a male student of Foresthill High School and seriously injured four others on Tuesday.
The crash occurred just after 1 a.m. near the intersection of Foresthill Road and Mayflower Road, which is just south of Grand Sierra Pointe.
The investigation indicates that a Toyota Rav 4 carrying five teens left the roadway and struck a tree, killing the 16-year-old driver.
Medics transported the other four occupants to the hospital with major injuries. It’s unclear if they are expected to survive.
Police aren’t yet sure what caused the driver to lose control of his vehicle and leave the roadway.
