Rollover crash in Rancho Peñasquitos leaves driver seriously injured

RANCHO PENASQUITOS, CA – A driver suffered serious injures in a rollover crash in Rancho Peñasquitos on Sunday evening, ABC 10 San Diego reports. 

The driver lost control of his 2001 Ford Explorer around 6:45 p.m. as he travelled west along the 10100 block of Carmel Mountain Road.

The 38-year-old man is expected to survive, although his injuries required his left arm to be amputated above the elbow.

No one else was in the car. The cause of the accident is not clear.
