Narrative
MANTECA, CA – Two adults and two children died Saturday night after a single-vehicle collision along the highway in south-central San Joaquin County.
The incident happened just after 10 p.m. on CA-120 in the city of Manteca, which is about 15 miles southeast of Stockton.
Police say that a minivan carrying seven occupants overturned and caught fire after the driver lost control.
The driver, an adult passenger, and two children died in the crash. Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims.
Medics transported three children, also passengers in the van, to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Police say that wet road conditions may have been a factor in the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
