Teenage cyclist critically injured in Santa Monica hit-and-run

SANTA MONICA, CA – A 16-year-old girl was critically injured after being struck by a car while biking in Santa Monica, MSN reports. 

The accident happened near the intersection of Chelsea Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard around 2 a.m. The driver left the scene and fled north on Santa Monica Boulevard.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. On Sunday, police found and arrested the driver. He is being charged with felony hit-and-run and driving without a license.
