Teenager killed in Buena Park street

BUENA PARK, CA – A teenage girl was killed in Buena Park on Tuesday after being struck by a van, KTLA reports. 

The victim was attempting to rescue her cat, which had wandering into the intersection of Western Avenue and Fillmore Drive when she was hit by a white van around 6 a.m. She died at the scene.

The driver of the can remained on the scene and cooperated with police. The cat was also killed in the accident.
