MADERA, CA – Three people were injured after a DUI suspect caused a collision with a fire truck in Madera, KMPH reports.
The accident occurred around 10 p.m. on Monday evening on Avenue 13. The suspect was driving a 1995 Buick LaSabre when he failed to yield at a stop sign and rolled into the intersection. His vehicle then struck a fire truck.
The driver of the LaSabre sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was later arrested for driving under the influence.
Two firefighters were also injured and taken to the hospital.
