Two injured in San Diego after head-on collision

SAN DIEGO, CA – Two people were injured in a head-on collision caused by a wrong-way driver in Rancho San Diego on Monday, Fox 5 San Diego reports. 

The collision occurred on Willow Glen Drive around 9:25 a.m. It was caused by a black Kia that crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a white Toyota Camry. The Kia then also hit a gold Honda Accord.

The 41-year-old Kia driver and the 45-year-old Camry driver sustained moderate injuries and were taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital. The 62-year-old Honda driver was uninjured.

At this time it is not clear why the Kia crossed into the wrong lane.
